Pews Hold too many Pharisees
The Saint Paul Pioneer Press
Rev. James D. Paxton preached yesterday morning at the House of Hope Presbyterian Church, Fifth and Exchange Streets, taking as his text Luke, 17:20. "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation." He said in part:—

Christ meant to tell these people that religion consisted not of observances, but of an interior— the kingdom of God is within you.
