Painful condition in foot dissolved

I have an active life and I love biking, swimming, gardening, walking my dog, Lexi, and many outdoor activities. For about a year, I experienced a great deal of pain when I walked due to a lump on one foot. I prayed about this situation, as I know that healing is possible—in fact, inevitable—in Christian Science. And I felt certain that I shouldn’t settle for a painful condition in any form.

The condition with my foot never interfered with my life, and never took away my joy. I refused to allow it to dictate my days. I was able to keep my vigil while walking Lexi, and enjoyed several trips to the northern part of Michigan. I visited my sister-in-law Julie and we walked, shopped, and swam many times during the summer. Yet, the condition persisted, and it seemed my prayers were ineffective.

One day, the first verse from a favorite hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal came to me:
