Permanent joy

JOY! Doesn’t it just spill out of you, rippling into every corner of your experience like light chasing away darkness? Nothing can stop joy’s momentum. Worry, fear, and sadness suddenly lose the stage in our thinking and experience. That’s the sentiment of our cover stories this week: the joy that none (and nothing) can take away. It’s an echo of a well-loved hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal:

I walk with Love along the way,And O, it is a holy day;No more I suffer cruel fear,I feel God’s presence with me here; The joy that none can take awayIs mine; I walk with Love today.(Minny M. H. Ayers, Hymn No. 139)
