Persistent prayer eliminates leg pain

In the book of Daniel we read, "And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent" (10:11). This passage reminds me of a healing that took place about three years ago. Every morning, both my lower legs would be swollen and painful. It would be very painful to walk at first in the mornings, but as the day wore on, the swelling would diminish and I would become more comfortable. I prayed diligently and had treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. It wasn't easy, but I tried as hard as I could not to diagnose or look for a cause in matter. I persistently counteracted all erroneous thoughts that would make this belief seem real.

Every day a new spiritual truth would come to me and support me for that day as I prayed persistently. I was very grateful for this. One morning it was as if I heard a voice quite near say very loudly and clearly, "Put your feet down." I was afraid to do this because it was very painful, but I finally was obedient to the command.
