Listen up!
God speaks to us in ways we can understand. He knows the way to our heart, and when our heart needs love, God, divine Love, is there already filling it. When we need guidance or comfort, ever-present Love is supporting and guiding us. I find God speaks to me in the most ordinary ways. I just need to pay attention—to listen up. At one time, both our sons wanted to go away to boarding school. Although I could see that the school would offer them many advantages, I felt heartsick at the thought of their leaving home years earlier than I had ever expected. We live in the country, and I couldn't imagine what I would do without the boys.
Because I wanted to be sure that my husband and I made the right decision, I began to look for guidance in the Bible and in Science and Health, but it seemed as if the words just stayed on the pages. Nothing changed in my heart. Yet I knew what I was reading was true. I decided I would be grateful right then and there for the blessings with which God is continuously showering us all. Then I went out to work in the yard.
