Through the study of Christian Science I have had many demonstrations of the healing power of God and of the marvelous operation of His eternal law of justice.

At one time, on neighboring property where an industry was set up, an apparatus had been placed on the wall adjoining that of my bedroom. The apparatus was in operation from eleven o'clock at night until five in the morning. The noise it made was very bothersome, and it had affected me in such a way that when I lay down to sleep I would pass an extremely nervous night.

All human and legal steps taken to do away with the apparatus or to silence its operation were unfruitful. I was met with ill will on the part of those responsible. They showed evident contempt for the rights of others. Consequently, besides being disturbed, I was troubled by a feeling of powerlessness and resentment against the injustice. This aggravated the problem and was affecting my health.
