For the Health of Your Children

Ask a number of parents what they most desire for their children —health, wealth, or happiness—and the majority will probably say health. Their reason is likely to be that without health one cannot live a full life, enjoy wealth, or be totally happy.

Ask these same parents how they are helping their children to be healthy, and some may say they are taking care of them physically, feeding and clothing them, seeing that their bodies are in good condition, ensuring that they are taught how to look after themselves.

But parents who are students of Christian Science will know that while care of these human needs of their offspring is important, there is something else even more vital to their well-being—the care of their mental condition. Mary Baker Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, "Many years ago the author made a spiritual discovery, the scientific evidence of which has accumulated to prove that the divine Mind produces in man health, harmony, and immortality." Science and Health, p. 380;
