He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me (John 14:21)
Plummer notes that in the idiom of the Greek the second "he" implies "great emphasis; he and no one else." Phillips translates the passage, "Every man who knows my commandments and obeys them is the man who really loves me"; and The New English Bible, "The man who has received my commands and obeys them—he it is who loves me."
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (I John 4:17)
