Activities for the Armed Services
Christian Science Activities for the Armed Services has Field workers at all military installations in the United States where there is recruit training. These men visit Christian Scientists, conduct services, and give treatment to those requesting it. Their reports are inspiring and show how the Christ, Truth, is meeting human needs.
A Christian Science Minister writes of a Marine recruit who hobbled to a service with great effort. When the Minister asked what happened, the recruit explained that he had sprained his ankle, and he remarked proudly, "Oh, just part of being a marine, sir."
"Really?" queried the Minister. "Are you also going to accept the belief that getting shot in battle is part of being a marine?"
