Claiming Our Spiritual Abundance
Anyone struggling with the problem of supply could ponder with profit the words of Jesus (Luke 12:32), "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Everything that belongs to God belongs to man by continuous, effortless, and eternal reflection, for man, according to Christian Science, is God's likeness. Each individual has the right to prove this spiritual fact for himself.
We should strive to do so and thereby demonstrate that man is God's child, His heir. Now, an heir is one who receives, or is entitled to receive, an inheritance. But every heir must in some way claim his inheritance; he must claim it in order to get it. To wish for something or to want it is not to claim it. So long as we wish for something or want it we postpone getting it. To know what belongs to us right now by law and then to claim it is the course to follow.
The law of God entitles us to everything that belongs to God. Law must have a power to enforce it, and the law of God is enforced by the power of God. God is omnipotent, all-powerful, and there is no other power.
