I have received so much help from the study and application of Christian Science that I should like to tell of two experiences in which this healing Science was demonstrated.

One day as I was walking up a flight of stairs I lost my balance and fell backward; my back struck the edge of one step with full force. As I fell, I instantly, repeatedly, and emphatically declared: "I am spiritual, not material!" I knew that man is God's idea.

To mortal sense it would have been impossible for me to get on my feet unaided, since I am around fourscore years and ten and heavily built. However, I was able to so turn my body, to get up, and to climb the stairs to my room, rejoicing all the way. That night I went down to supper as usual; I felt no pain nor soreness. For several days my thought was uplifted and very joyous. For this protection from harm, I am very grateful.
