On page 126 of '"Miscellaneous Writings," Mrs. Eddy tells us this: "No reproof is so potent as the silent lesson of a good example. Works, more than words, should characterize Christian Scientists."
About eighteen months ago I was completely paralyzed. I could not eat, sleep, walk, or talk. I worked prayerfully for myself for about a week, then called for the help of a Christian Science practitioner and started my mental climbing. I had to be more obedient to Christian Science than I had ever been. I knew I could be healed and would be healed if I just let the Mind be in me "which was also in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 2:5).
I was completely healed. Also during this time, with the help of the practitioner, I was healed of a pain in my head which had been with me for a great many years. As I saw that man is in reality the spiritual idea of God, the pain was destroyed.
