At one time my teeth became...
At one time my teeth became loose, and there were other distressing symptoms. It never occurred to me to think of any treatment but Christian Science. I had a firm conviction that this condition could be healed, because I had been healed of serious difficulties before.
A practitioner helped me, and we did consecrated work together. What came to me very strongly were these words from the Bible (Isa. 59:1): "The Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save," and a question from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p.135), "What cannot God do?"
I am not sure just how long it was before the teeth became firm again, but I think it may have been about a week, How-ever, the other symptoms remained, including an involuntary grinding of my teeth in my sleep. Every morning I awakened in pain, which was always quickly allayed by the firm and understanding use of "the scientific statement of being." in which we find this truth (ibid., p. 468): "Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal."
