WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST
[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on April 5, 1964.]
The Lord turned again the captivity of Zion (Ps. 126:1)
The Hebrew verb shuv (turn again) means strictly "turn back, give back, restore, return." Moreover, the word rendered "captivity" was often used in the special sense of "prosperity." On the other hand, Moffatt offers the translation, "The Eternal brought the exiles back to Sion."
Rigour (Ex. 1:13, 14)
