GUIDING STAR
Always
there is a star—
not for proud thought, enthroning intellect and
human mind as god,
but for the humble heart which seeks a guide
to bring it nearer to reality.
Always there is a star.
As clouds of pride and doubt and fear recede
from thought inspired by Love,
comes newborn confidence in God's dear will,
and, lo, the stellar light burns clear and bright.
Always there is a star.
And now, with vision clear to see the truth
of Christ's eternity,
a fuller light illumines consciousness,
revealing man at one with Life and Love.
