I have had much to be grateful...
I have had much to be grateful for through the years since taking up the study of Christian Science. There have been physical healings as well as guidance and protection on many occasions.
On page 445 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read, Christian Science silences human will, quiets fear with Truth and Love, and illustrates the unlabored motion of the divine energy in healing the sick." I should like to tell how the verity of this statement was proved in my own experience.
One evening I was suddenly attacked with an acute internal pain which recurred over several months at frequent intervals, becoming increasingly severe each time. In working prayerfully to solve this problem. I had to meet and overcome a latent fear of heredity, because my mother had been subject to similar attacks, and I found great comfort in these words on page 63 of the textbook: "In Science man is the offspring of Spirit. The beautiful, good, and pure constitute his ancestry."
