HARVEST
Some
seed will germinate
Far sooner than the rest;
And early is the growth
Of young plant manifest.
But other seed lies dormant.
And must be saved from spoil.
Till nourished, warmed, and watered.
It reaches from the soil.
The wise and faithful gardener
Refrains from push or prod;
But confident and patient
Looks up and waits for God.
