In Psalm 103 we read, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." On page 176 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, under the marginal heading, "Diseases not to be classified," we read: "One disease is no more real than another," and, "Hence decided types of acute diseases are quite as ready to yield to Truth as the less distinct type and chronic form of disease."

I should like to relate a healing I had of leukemia, which had been classified as incurable. In 1938 I became ill. On a doctor's orders I was immediately placed in the hospital, and my condition was pronounced grave. After I had been given extensive tests by blood specialists, my family was told that I was suffering from leukemia and that I had but a short time to live.

Now, we were not Christian Scientists and knew nothing of this religion, but I had a friend who was interested in Science. He was unwilling to accept the inevitability of my passing on, because he knew Christian Science could heal me, for he and his family had had many proofs of its efficacy. My father and sister visited a practitioner with my friend, but were too fearful to have me removed from the hospital. However, the practitioner worked along with my friend, helping and supporting him through prayer in his desire to establish the unreality of the illness in his own consciousness.
