Many times I have profited by the testimonies given in the Christian Science periodicals. Perhaps someone may now find encouragement in reading my testimony. The healings and blessings mentioned here came to me solely as a result of the teachings of the Science of Christ.

One day a lump which had been behind one of my ears for twenty years started to grow. At first the fear of it was disquieting, but then I remembered these words of Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health, p. 407): "Let the perfect model be present in your thoughts instead of its demoralized opposite." I steadfastly acknowledged the omnipotence of God, and the lump vanished completely within a few days and did not return. This was over fifteen years ago, but I have not forgotten the joy of this quick healing.

At another time a soreness in my throat was healed within a few minutes when I realized the omnipresence of God and the love He has for all His children. It was awe-inspiring when I felt the pain vanish instantly. This happened many years ago, and I have not had a sore throat again although I had previously suffered from the condition several times.
