It is over twenty-nine years since I was first introduced to Christian Science by a very loving aunt. Since my marriage I have had many opportunities to prove the healing power of God in Christian Science for myself and our children, and I have always been grateful that while my husband is not interested in my religion, he has never been antagonistic towards it.

About seven years ago while we were away on holiday our daughter was playing on a slide in a public park. She was waiting for her turn to descend when she fell about twelve feet onto the concrete below. I ran to her and declared spiritual truths we are taught in Science until an ambulance arrived. It had been called by the park keeper; but even so, the circumstnaces of our being away from home, and my husband's not being a Scientist, caused me to let her go to hospital. I got in touch with a practitioner many miles away and asked for help through prayer.

An X-ray picture was taken, but the hospital authorities would not say what was wrong. They merely asked if we would be able to extend our holiday, since we had only ten days left, and stated that nothing but rest and quiet would help the child. At no time was any medical aid given. Each day my husband and I visited the hosptial to see the child, whose boundless energy and inability to lie still greatly astounded the nurses.
