In the year 1911 I had what doctors...
In the year 1911 I had what doctors told me were heart disease and a floating kidney. They finally told me that they could offer no cure. My thought turned to God. I said, "Just God and me." Not long after this a neighbor asked me to attend a Christian Science lecture with her. I did, and when the lecturer told us that God is Life and Mind, a new world opened up to me.
I bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and began reading. Several months later, after the family had retired one night, I had a heart attack. I could not move to reach anyone or to get to the telephone; but what the lecturer had told us came to me. I repeated, "God is Life," over and over, trying to realize the full spiritual meaning of the words until the symptoms disappeared. In the more than fifty years since, I have had no return of the condition.
After studying Science and Health for about two years I was completely healed of the kidney trouble. I am deeply grateful to God for Mrs. Eddy and her wonderful revelation of Truth.
