In 1952 I had a slight stroke

In 1952 I had a slight stroke. I had been having injections and taking pills for years for high blood pressure and a blood condition. In 1953 my husband passed on, and I had many adjustments to make.

A friend sent me a copy of The Christian Science Journal, which I read from cover to cover. I had been reading a chapter of the Bible every night, asking God to show me its spiritual meaning. Although I found the Journal helpful, I did not take up the study of Christian Science at this time.

In 1957 I was told that my blood pressure was as high as or higher than in 1952, and that I must take pills the rest of my life. In the meantime, however, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy had become part of my life, and having learned that God is the only physician, the one omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient All, I decided right then to prove it. I have had no injections and taken no pills or other medicine since that time, having relied on God alone. I have not had a physical examination since then either, but the symptoms which had been associated with blood pressure disappeared, and my condition became normal.
