Compassionate Science
"Today as in the time of Jesus, Science offers salvation
from all fleshly inharmonies"
An incident took place in a house where Christ Jesus was being entertained by a notable Pharisee. A woman known for her immoral way of life came in, apparently to make penance before Jesus. Because of the woman's sincere desire to start a new, clean way of life, the Master was enabled to apply on her behalf God's heavenly law of mercy and forgiveness. He told her (Luke 7:50), "Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace." Mrs. Eddy devotes to this incident several pages in the chapter entitled "Christian Science Practice" in Science and Health.
