Through the many years of my study of Christian Science I have gained a higher spiritual understanding of God and of man. More recently the steadfast conviction that Science does heal assured and reassured me through long months of extreme physical difficulty.
Though I was sustained at my daily work, the almost constant suffering required persistent application of spiritual truths. An obstruction of normal bodily functions, accompanied by intense distress, prevailed. Surgery was suggested to me as the only possible solution; and when I refused to consider this because I rely entirely on the teachings of Christian Science for any needed healing, loved ones then urged me at least to have a medical diagnosis. I firmly insisted that I would not submit to such a diagnosis because of my conviction that God, and God alone, heals and requires no physical diagnosis.
