A New Radio Series

On April 8 The Mother Church launched a new radio series entitled "The Bible Speaks to You." Its purpose is to reach great numbers of spiritually hungry people and assure them that the Bible, as elucidated by Christian Science, provides comforting solutions to all the problems of mankind. These problems may concern mind or body, health or supply, individual relations to God or to men, affairs of national or worldwide scope. The series will show that no difficulty is beyond the power of God to heal when the teachings of the Bible are understood in their scientific import.

It is especially fitting in this scientific age that the divine Science of the Bible be comprehended and the operation of God's law be explained as available and demonstrable today. Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 358), "Christian Science, understood, coincides with the Scriptures, and sustains logically and demonstratively every point it presents." She says a little farther on, "It presents the calm and clear verdict of Truth against error, uttered and illustrated by the prophets, by Jesus, by his apostles, as is recorded throughout the Scriptures."

In our period, sometimes called the post-Christian era by skeptics, it is vitally necessary that there be a return to the Bible with a purer realization of its unfoldment of Truth. It should be widely recognized that Christianity in its highest sense is Science and must be practiced as Science with increasing knowledge and power. Instead of the post-Christian era, this is the age when scientific Christianity is beginning to be understood.
