Mrs. Eddy writes (Science and Health, p. 66)...
Mrs. Eddy writes (Science and Health, p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." I have had many proofs of God's loving care for His children. Lack, colds, wasp stings, and headaches have all been healed through my own understanding of Christian Science.
Before our first child was born, my husband and I lived in a city where I knew no Scientists. So, when I felt my own understanding needed support, I wrote to my mother asking for help. This she lovingly gave, and the birth was very harmonious and without pain.
The passage from Science and Health which I studied most at this is on page 63 and reads:"In Science man is the offspring of Spirit. The beautiful, good, and pure constitute his ancestry. His origin is not, like that of mortals, in brute instinct, nor does he pass through material conditions prior to reaching intelligence. Spirit is his primitive and ultimate source of being; God is his Father, and Life is the law of his being." My second experience of childbirth was also very harmonious.
