About twenty years ago my first testimony was published in the Sentinel. Since then I have received many more healings and blessings through the application of Christian Science.

Our first trip to Florida came after the passing on of my mother. Although I had had an instantaneous healing of grief, it was thought that the trip would bring release from the memory of my mother's illness. After a day on the road, however, the unpleasant memories returned with vigor. I reached out earnestly to God for help, and this question from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy came to me (p. 9): "Dost thou 'love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all the soul, and with all thy mind?"

I answered, "Yes." Then I realized that there is only one Father and Mother, God, but I had in effect been acknowledging another. With this uncovering, complete freedom came, and joy flooded my consciousness.
