At a time when there was a great...
At a time when there was a great need in my experience I earnestly began the study of Christian Science. I had been left alone with a young son to be educated; but through the application of the teachings of Science in our experience, this son was able to complete a four-year course in the university of his choice and is now well established in business.
One of the healings which have taken place was that of an ankle I sprained when I was leaving home to attend to church activities. I knew that the real man cannot be hurt, for he is God's spiritual idea. Recognizing this truth and that man's function is to express God, I was able to go about my business. All evidence of the sprain completely disappeared in just a few hours.
Another time I fell and fractured a shoulder. The healing was accomplished through the prayers of a consecrated Christian Science practitioner. In less than three weeks I was able to return to my work. At this time I was employed in a bank which carried group insurance and which had not previously recognized the services of a Christian Science practitioner for insurance purposes. The practitioner and I did prayerful work about the situation, and I was remunerated for the full amount I had paid the practitioner.
