On Being God-governed
"One must let Love be the motive power in all that he thinks and does"
One of the most important things we learn in Christian Science is that man, the image and likeness of God, lives under God's government and reflects the Mind that is God. Thus man is not an automaton, or self-acting personality. The Bible teaches that "in him we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28). We find, therefore, that there is no real status or life apart from the divine. Accordingly, as we claim that in our true selfhood we exist under God's government, our human lives are maintained and governed harmoniously.
