RADIO PROGRAM No. 403 - A Life Restored

SPEAKER: Perhaps you're familiar with the verse in the Bible that says, "The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. " The woman who is our guest today has had convincing proof of this statement. She is Mrs. Marguerite Phillips, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Now here she is to tell you her experience.

MRS. PHILLIPS: Some years ago I fell from a high veranda and was taken unconscious to the hospital. There were internal injuries that resulted in toxic poisoning, and the doctors said, after consultation, that I had not one chance in a hundred to live and that if I did, I would never walk again.

But I had studied Christian Science ever since I was eighteen. At that time I had been healed of severe heart trouble and other difficulties just through reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. And so in this hour of great need, I turned wholeheartedly to God for help. I knew that, as the Bible says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
