I received so much help from the testimonies in the periodicals at a time when I was stricken with a crippling difficulty that I am submitting this testimony in the hope that it may encourage others who are seeking healing through reliance on Christian Science.

Through the consecrated work of a Christian Science practitioner a serious bowel obstruction was cleared overnight. The healing of what accompanied the bowel obstruction did not come quickly. My legs and feet were seriously affected. I could not move my body for several months and could turn my head and use my arms and hands only with great difficulty and pain.

I studied extensively each synonym for God given by Mrs. Eddy and page 465 of Science and Health and gained a greater spiritual unfoldment than I had ever had before. On page 585 of Science and Health. Mrs. Eddy gives us the definition of "Elias," which includes these words: "Christian Science, with which can be discerned the spiritual fact of whatever the material senses behold."
