DEPORTMENT WHEN UNOBSERVED

"I do always those things that please him," Jesus said,
Speaking of God. And in Gethsemane,
As on temptation's mount, he kept the faith
Even when no one was at hand to see.

Oh, may our daily conduct and demeanor
Show forth that we have made this way our own.
May every word and act to God be pleasing;
May we be steadfast—even when alone.
