Eight years ago I was suffering...
Eight years ago I was suffering from a serious stomach difficulty. I had become very ill following an operation and also suffered from virus influenza. I had lost much strength and weight, and things looked very hopeless.
My next-door neighbor was a Christian Scientist and had recommended that I read Science and Health. I borrowed a copy from the Reading Room and began to read it, but I did not understand it very well. I was also reading other books on healing which had been given to me.
Finally one morning, after suffering all night, I asked my neighbor to call a practitioner and ask her to come to see me. As a result of her visit the pain left instantly, and I began to eat solid food.
