RADIO PROGRAM: No. 313 - God Does Not Afflict
Speaker: Should someone be listening to this program today who feels that affliction is sent from God, then our guest's experience will be helpful. When she corrected this mistaken concept of God, she was healed. I'd like you to meet Miss Emma Bottomley, formerly of England, now of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Suppose you tell us, Miss Bottomley, what happened as you began to see that God is Love and that He does not afflict.
Miss Bottomley: My life was completely transformed as I learned there was a God that loved me and a God I could love, a God from whom I could expect only good. You see, just about from the time I was born my life seemed filled with unhappiness and affliction. My mother passed away when I was three weeks old, and I was a very sickly child. I had so many things wrong with me as I grew up that I was told I hadn't a normal organ in my body. And I had some physical deformities. I couldn't do things freely like other young people.
