Nothing can be given in exchange for happiness that is not rooted in service and unselfishness. ... It cannot be found by those who look for it because it flowers from the unseen sources where goodness and love are silently working. Those who would gain happiness must learn to be humble. ... The presence of happiness is the reward of those who never weary in well-doing, nor ask a return for their help. In the Bible we are told that those who know God find the springs of true joy, and nothing can make them afraid.
