OPENING THE FLOODGATES OF HEAVEN
The term "floodgate" is used to designate a device that controls a body of water, shutting it out, admitting it, or releasing it. In metaphysics we might say that spiritualization of consciousness is the means of opening the floodgates of heaven, whereby Love's blessings are poured into every phase of human experience.
Many people over the years have believed heaven to be a mystical and hypothetical locale, situated somewhere above our earthly habitation. It is thought by them to be available to the God-fearing man only after an inevitable and dreaded experience called death.
Through the teachings of the Master, Christ Jesus, mankind learn that the heavenly kingdom is a state of consciousness and that it is available to all men through spiritual rebirth. Christ Jesus said (John 3:6, 7): "That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
