ACCEPTING ONLY THE INFLUENCE OF TRUTH
Human thought, in belief, is constantly subjected to influences, some good and some bad. But there is a divine influence which is continuously operating, whether acknowledged or not. It is the Christ, or the power of God, Truth. By reason of the existence of God, His influence is existent. God's power cannot be tampered with in any way or to any degree. The influence of God is a manifestation of God's omnipotence.
Christian Science affirms that God is infinite Truth and that man is Truth's incorporeal, spiritual idea. Man is responsive only to his Maker, divine Truth, Life, and Love. To Truth there is no evil or discord. Error is completely foreign to Truth and to Truth's creation. Even as in light there is no darkness, so in Truth there is no error.
Truth is absolute, but humanly demonstrable. It is eternal, but is the controlling power behind our everyday righteous actions. It is universal and yet specifically applicable to our minutest daily needs. Christian Science is the Science of Truth, the law of God, good. Through the spiritual understanding of Christian Science, one learns to utilize the influence of Truth in solving human problems.
