I was led to the study of Christian Science by attending a lecture which had been advertised in the daily paper, and I realized that I had been seeking this very truth for many years.

My first healing was of migraine. I was awakened one morning with a severe headache. I at once knew that this condition was error claiming to be accepted as real. I realized that because it had not come from God, it was to be denied; so I commenced to study the Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly. In a short time the pain disappeared, and I was free and able to attend to my duties. I was especially glad for this, as a little later in the day I was able to help someone in deep trouble. Previous to my study of Christian Science, I would have been too ill for at least a day to help anyone.

I should also like to tell of the healing of a child, aged five years, who was in my care. Her mother had passed on, and her father, who was in the country, was not a student of Christian Science; but he had given his permission for the child to be reared in Christian Science. The child was very ill, and I immediately got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner. I shall never forget the loving way in which the practitioner, who visited us, calmed my fears and also the child's thought.

My sister, who visited me during the day and who was a medical nurse, begged that a doctor be called. When the doctor came, he diagnosed the case as diphtheria and pneumonia and gave no hope for the child's recovery. He prescribed no treatment, for he said it would be of no avail.

That evening I repeated to the child the Bible story of David and Goliath. After I had sung Mrs. Eddy's hymns to her until about two o'clock in the morning, we both slept peacefully until daylight. When we awoke, she was healed. When the doctor called, he was amazed and gave. Christian Science full credit. This experience has always helped me in proving the allness of God and the nothingness of error.
