TRUE OR FALSE?

High School and college examination papers sometimes include lists of statements under the heading, "True or False?" To appraise these statements correctly the student needs to know in each instance what is true. His understanding of the truth involved enables him to detect and reject the lie.

Students of Christian Science find it helpful, indeed essential, oftentimes to examine their thinking, and the circumstances, conditions, and experiences of their daily lives in order to find out what is true in them. Their answers determine the rightness or wrongness of their practice of Christian Science and its subsequent success or failure.

In "No and Yes," Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 6): "On the theory that God's formations are spiritual, harmonious, and eternal, and that God is the only creator. Christian Science refutes the validity of the testimony of the senses, which take cognizance of their own phenomena,—sickness, disease, and death. This refutation is indispensable to the destruction of false evidence, and the consequent cure of the sick,—as all understand who practise the true Science of Mind-healing."
