"A BALANCE ON THE SIDE OF GOOD"
The tightrope artist performs his daring feats high above the audience with seeming carelessness. Yet great professional skill is required to maintain his balance at all times. The slightest shift of his weight, if not instantly counterbalanced, would cause him to fall into the net.
Mortals believe that their well-being is as delicately balanced as the acrobat. They blindly accept the claim that the slightest shift in material conditions can affect their health, happiness, supply, employment, and home.
Thousands have proved through Christian Science that no material power, force, or circumstance can upset their true balance because they know that man, God's image and likeness, lives, moves, and has his being in God's spiritual universe. This man is always serene, joyous, and free. As the planets are held in their individual orbits, so God's idea, man, is forever maintained in harmonious relationship to the divine Mind.
