Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, tells us in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 307): "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment."

This statement was constantly kept uppermost in thought during the financial depression of the 1930's when the business in which I was employed suffered severely, and there seemed to be no other market for my services.

Although I had no regular means of income during a period of over four years, yet the daily needs of the entire family were amply provided for and clearly as a result of divine guidance. We had many opportunities to accomplish good for others, and these efforts were well rewarded. Actually, through this experience, we found ourselves better off financially than before. But, best of all, we were much better equipped spiritually.
