I should like to express my gratitude for the many benefits that I have received through the study and application of Christian Science.

In the latter half of the year 1957, I had three serious illnesses. The first one was that of a form of lumbago. For over a week I could hardly move. I was sorely tempted to try material means, but I am so glad that I resisted the temptation. This statement by Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health sustained me (p. 261): "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."

I began to realize that God is omnipresent and omnipotent and that I am ever in His care. With this realization I was completely healed. Later, when I was confronted with a condition of jaundice, I had no inclination at all to try material remedies, and again I was quickly healed.
