Many years ago I was afflicted with oak poisoning. It was a seasonal occurrence. One day my face again broke out with this irritation, and I called on a Christian Science practitioner. She expounded clearly to me the truth that man, made in the image and likeness of God, is not subject to mortal laws. The healing was instantaneous.

That was my first Christian Science treatment. To me, this healing was a falling apple, so to speak, which convinced me that all healings are mental. I knew this must be the same method used by Christ Jesus in his healing ministry. This experience took place about thirty-six years ago and has remained permanent.

About twenty-six years ago I was suffering from arthritis. During that time I was serving in various activities in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I did not allow this condition to deter me from church work. After I had constantly watched and prayed for some time to be delivered from this malady, the turning point came when I read these words from the Bible (John 6:63): "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing." It was then that I began the probing of my innermost thoughts with the light of Truth.
