How grateful I am for Christian Science...

How grateful I am for Christian Science and for divine Love's protecting power! One evening in a severe storm I was on my way to a meeting in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, to hear the tape recording of the Tuesday Evening Meeting, held in The Mother Church the week of the Annual Meeting. Suddenly the force of the wind knocked me off my feet, and I rolled out into the street and under a parked automobile. Although I was badly shaken up and somewhat injured, I decided to continue on to church, going the rest of the way by taxi.

As I sat listening to the wonderful messages on the tape recording, I regained my composure. I sat thanking God for His divine protection, realizing that the real man was not in the wind or the storm and that therefore I as His reflection had not been touched or hurt by the elements. Therefore I could not really suffer from the experience. Soon all effects of the accident were completely overcome.

More recently I was visiting in a foreign country where the altitude is very high and where the water and food were claimed by many to make some people ill. I had failed to do sufficient prayerful protective work as we are taught to do in Christian Science, and I became very ill.
