Over thirty years ago a friend encouraged me to secure the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and the Christian Science Quarterly and to study the Bible Lessons. I have never ceased to be grateful for her encouragement. Since then I have spent many profitable hours reading of and rejoicing in the experiences of those whose testimonies are published in the Christian Science periodicals, and I wish to add mine.

One occasion for gratitude was a healing that took place when we were making our home in the country. I was very unhappy because I missed the activity which I had enjoyed in a gift shop. At this time also we were trying to sell our house and to move to another locality. I became ill, suffering from a feeling of depleted strength and from severe headaches.

I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. She spoke to me of the constant love and care of God for His children and of the talents bestowed on each which we use for the benefit of mankind.
