RADIO PROGRAM No. 326 - Firmness and Faithfulness

Speaker: Today our guest is Archie Wilson, of Summit, New Jersey. His experience while employed in a large oil refinery provides a number of helpful answers to questions about spiritual healing. He's going to tell you about it himself.

Mr. Wilson: During the winter of 1929 I was employed as a young engineer in a large oil refinery in Whiting, Indiana. We were working on a cracking unit which was giving us trouble. As a certain valve was opened, the unit flashed and caught on fire. The contents, which were 900 degrees hot, blew up through this open valve and then immediately caught fire. I was in the direct path of the vapor. So I was drenched from head to foot and then set on fire like a torch.

Suddenly it seemed as if someone shouted in my ear to lie down and roll; so I lay down and rolled right into a snow bank. But this didn't completely extinguish the fire. So I went over to a glassed-in fire blanket kept there for emergency purposes. Just at that moment the machinist foreman came to help me. He broke the glass and pulled out the fire blanket, covered me, led me to a bench, and called for somebody to get the ambulance.
