For over fifty years the application of the teachings of Christian Science has resulted in a happy, active family life. We had the privilege of rearing two sons in this blessed truth. Each saw active combat duty during the Second World War, and each is at this time serving as a First Reader in the branch Church of Christ, Scientist, of which he is a member.

In our family we have experienced the healings of eczema, phlebitis, measles, quinsy, mumps, grippe, and other discords.

When my husband passed on a few years ago, I was able to overcome grief immediately with the thought that Life is eternal. In the years since, while living alone, I have kept from yielding to self-pity by reading Mary Baker Eddy's references to joy in her writings or by holding to this Bible verse (Ps. 16:11): "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
