I am profoundly grateful for the answer to my prayer of sixteen years ago for a better way of life. I was studying the Bible one morning in search of peace and comfort when the answer came clearly to my thought, "Christian Science is what you need."

God had answered my prayer, and I began to think of all the friends whom I knew that were Christian Scientists. My thought rested on one in particular who was very dear to me; so I made my way to her home and asked her to tell me about Christian Science. She very lovingly explained enough to make me extremely interested, and I immediately purchased Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and the Christian Science Quarterly.

This friend offered to help me, and she spent some time each day for the next two weeks showing me how to study the Bible and Science and Health and how to use the truth which I was learning. During this period a Christian Science lecture was being given in our city. I attended the lecture and listened with an open mind to the truth given out. This cemented my faith in this Science, and I knew I had been led to the wonderful way of Life. I began to study in earnest and to attend services in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist.
