In common with many other students of Christian Science, I first opened the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, at the request of a friend. I had no expectation of finding it interesting, but I had read only a page or two of the chapter on Prayer when I recognized that this was the truth. This book I felt could answer all my questions and could provide the solution to all my problems. In the years that have followed, this has proved to be the case. Problems of every sort have been solved.

Love has been reflected in the love of the practitioners who have illuminated my path with their steadfast devotion to Truth. As a result of their prayerful work, I have derived immeasurable blessings and have experienced many proofs of the healing power of Christian Science.

I should like to relate one demonstration of that power which is especially dear to me. On an extremely hot, sultry day my husband and I were driving in an open car across the Canadian prairies. We were following a dirt track through a sort of badlands, where there were no signs of life nor any shelter whatsoever.
