When I began the study of Christian Science, a bright, new world opened for me.
A childhood free from the fear and experience of many so-called children's diseases, a home blessed with devoted parents, who received class instruction when I was a baby, instantaneous healings of measles, mumps, oak poisoning, burns, and a hand crushed in a heavy car door, also inspirational help in school examinations, protection and guidance, the overcoming of extreme nervousness when riding in a car, confidence replacing fear and self-consciousness when appearing before an audience, are some of the blessings that have been mine through Christian Science.
My mother, who had taken up the study of Christian Science, was completely healed of asthma, hay fever, and rose cold.
In common with many other students of Christian Science, I first opened the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, at the request of a friend.
The members of my family and I have experienced numerous blessings through the application of the truths of Christian Science.
While I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing, or for the correction of negative thinking, healings and a more harmonious life have resulted.
It is with a heart filled with gratitude to God and to Mary Baker Eddy that I wish to tell of a healing which I had seventeen years ago through the study and application of Christian Science and the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner.
